My Lai is a village in Central Vietnam that has become famous due to the mass murder of more than 300 unarmed civilians, including women, children, and the elderly. This massacre occurred during the Vietnam War but to the local people, it just happened yesterday, and with this full day trip to My Lai, you will learn more about what happened and how it affected the village.

Morning
8.00 am Our driver and tour guide will meet up with you at the hotel lobby for one day My Lai excursion.
From the hotel, take a drive about 70km from Da Nang in a private vehicle along the National Highway and enjoy the rural countryside across to My Lai on the coast where you can visit the My Lai Memorial Museum.
Upon arrival at the museum, you will witness and get to know more about this historical site. About what happened on that tragic day back in March 1968 when over 500 harmless local villagers (including men, women, children and infants) were killed by American troops.
Here you will visit the Peace Memorial Park which is landscaped with statues and a recreation of the burnt out village. Each house in the village has a plaque in front recording the names and ages of the victims. And our guide will tell you the story of this tragedy and even now, they cry as if it only happened yesterday. This day trip to the historical site – My Lai allows you to meet the local villagers, tour around the village and listen to their story.

Have seafood lunch at My Khe Beach before heading back to Da Nang around 4pm.
