How to get to U Minh Ha National Park

U Minh Ha National Park is located in Cau Mau province around 300 km away from Ho Chi Minh city while the closest city Rach Gia is around 60 km away, less than a 2-hour drive away. The best way to get to U Minh Ha National Park is either by motorbike or bus.

By motorbike

One of the most popular ways to get to U Minh Ha National Park is by renting a motorbike and traveling to the park by yourself. Renting a motorbike is easy enough with every city in Vietnam having tons of rental agencies. You will have to travel through Highway 1A to Vo Van Kiet and then proceed onward to U Minh Ha National Park.

By bus

The bus is the more convenient method of traveling between the two. There are daily bus trips from Ho Chi Minh City to the Ca Mau bus station. After reaching Ca Mau Bus Station, you can take a moto-taxi or taxi to U Minh Ha National Park. A bus ticket will cost around 180,000 to 200,000 VND.

Best time to visit U Minh Ha National Park

Cau Mau province experiences two very distinct seasons- the dry and wet season. The dry season is from May to October while the wet season is from November to April. U Minh Ha National Park can be visited any time of the year including the rainy season. However, if you want to avoid the rains, the best time to visit U Minh Ha National Park is during the dry season from May to October where there is little to no chance of rain.
